ABOUT TAMTA

The Tulsa Area Music Teachers Association (TAMTA) is a vibrant community of independent music educators dedicated to lifelong learning and support for students and teachers alike. Through monthly programs, workshops, and networking opportunities, we help teachers stay inspired and connected. We also provide a wide range of educational and performance opportunities for students—from early beginners to advanced musicians.

TAMTA is proud to be the local affiliate of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and the Oklahoma Music Teachers Association (OMTA), as well as a member of the Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa.

Our members include credentialed teachers in piano, voice, strings (violin, viola, cello), flute, harp, organ, music theory, and composition.
If you’re looking for a qualified music teacher, head to the “Find a Teacher” section of this site. You’ll also find details about the many student events we sponsor, including both competitive and non-competitive opportunities.
TAMTA supports students at all levels and offers scholarships to graduating seniors, along with financial assistance for those advancing to higher levels of competition.
If you’re a music teacher in the Tulsa area, we’d love to welcome you! Browse the site to learn more or reach out to our Membership Chair for details on joining our community.
