Spindler-Lynch Piano Awards
PURPOSE
To encourage high standards of performance among young people and to give recognition to those who strive for excellence.
CATEGORIES
Category I (Grades 7 and 8):
1st Place - $100
2nd Place - $75
3rd Place - $50
Finalists - $25 each
Category II (Grade 9 and 10):
1st Place - $100
2nd Place - $75
3rd Place - $50
Finalists - $25 each
REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS
Two memorized solo piano compositions of contrasting styles.
Select: 1) Baroque or Classical, or 2) Romantic or Modern.
All changes in repertoire must be approved by the chair. Student may not enter literature that they have played on a previous Spindler-Lynch competition.
AUDITION
Audition Date: April 6, 2024
Location: University of Tulsa, Lorton Performance Center
