About TAMTA

Our mission is to provide continuing education opportunities to independent music teachers through workshops and monthly programs, provide educational and performance opportunities for music students, and encourage a strong community of mutually supportive music professionals.

We are the local affiliate of Music Teachers National Association and Oklahoma Music Teachers Association, and are also a member of the Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa, Inc.

Our membership includes accredited teachers of piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, flute, harp, organ, music theory and music composition.

Anyone searching for an accredited teacher may use the "Find a Teacher" segment of this site to do so. Detailed information about the various auditions and competitions that are available to students of TAMTA members may also be found on this site.

Students of all levels are represented at these events. In addition to the non-competitive and competitive events it sponsors, TAMTA offers a number of scholarships to graduating seniors and financially assists students who travel to Division and National competitions. Music teachers who are interested in membership are encouraged to explore this site and contact our Membership chair for further information.
